March 2, 2015
I haven't been on here for a bit but wanted to update all on what was happening. I have been busy trying to build Great Northern Travel and do some training on some cruise lines. It is going well as I am working on Carnival right now.

As I train on the different lines, I am anxious to learn about them first hand. I had friends take a cruise on Norwegian and they loved it. I am anxious to try that as well. I will keep you posted on the next trips that I am booked on.

Right now, I am looking at traveling down to Disney for the least expensive way. I believe it will be with renting a house and driving. That many folks in a car may be a bit too much. I know the kids want to fly. But if we rent then we will need a car .

So if anyone has any tips about that, I would love to have them.

Thanks,
plan you trips and get out there...tomorrow may not be available.

Ending Vacation

Here we are in Virginia, Blizzard Neptune stopped us from getting home for several days. Luckily we were able to stay with our great friends Jane and Dana. We were very happy to be stuck so close to them.

Now for the trip, it really was a pretty good trip all around. I however, prefer the larger ships by far. My next bookings are on the larger ships and we are going again in February, April, and September of 2016. Life is going well with the business and I really wish I was doing this full time as this is where my heart truely is. It takes a while for the money to start coming in and I will be happy when that happens.

We did the specialty restaurants and I believe I will pass on most of them going forward. Maybe the chefs table but that's probably it. I really think they are worth it, however there is so much to do on board and the meals really are quite nice in regular dining. It will depend on the specialty restaurants.

Well we made it to Tampa. Long day of travel and one lost bag. They removed our bags in Raleigh and didn't put them all on the plane, however when we went to the baggage claim, they said there was a message that it would arrive late tonight so they will send it over in the morning. They also advised that if we needed anything we could spend up to 50 bucks and they would reimburse us. That was nice.

The Tahitian Inn driver was there as soon as we called him. The Tahitian Inn is very nice, the rooms are very large and very clean. We went down to the bar and had a nice drink. A bit pricey but the bartender was lovely...word is the breakfast here is the best and lots of people come here for the breakfast. Will check it out.

Tomorrow night is karaoke so we may head back down for that. Anxious to meet up with other friends tomorrow.

Chat again tomorrow.

Fairfield Marriott Inn Portland, ME

Day 2 of our journey and checked out the breakfast included in the stay. Again it was lovely, with choice of 4 juices, 100% juice, bacon, sausage, eggs, variety of bagels, toast, fruit etc....very satisfied with this hotel. Now our journey continues with our flights.

We have downloaded the Southwest Airline App and have our boarding passes ready to go....very easy process. I love Southwest with its no change fees. No baggage fees...etc...

Time to pack up...will report in later.
